Professor
Arthur Cohen B.A., M.A. is a nationally and
internationally known personal safety expert.
With over 40 years of study and research, he is
a pioneer in the field of survival skills,
school and personal safety solutions. He
has received numerous awards from the
educational, law enforcement and martial arts
communities including Who’s Who Among
America’s Teachers, Who’s Who in Law
Enforcement Trainers and Budo International
Martial Arts Hall of Fame.
After
33 years in the classroom, Arthur currently
teaches two graduate courses on school violence
prevention for Alfred University and was
recently added to the staff of the College of
St. Rose to teach a 1 credit course on school
safety for their Masters in Administration
program.
Arthur
has fined tuned the art of the interactive slide
presentation. At a recent presentation for
Phi Delta Kappa International he was told by a
school superintendent “They said slide shows
were dead, well you proved them wrong.”
As
a member of the National Speaker’s Association
(NSA), the Education Professional Experts Group
of NSA, and a charter member of the
International Law Enforcement Educators
and Trainers Association (ILEETA), Arthur takes
as much pride in his presentation as he does in
